It seems we have some funny readers!

Sprinkled within the many letters we receive, is an occasional gag idea.
While we make it a policy not to publish gags submitted by our fans, we feel many of them are definitely worth sharing!
Here's to the world wide web... a wonderful means by which to recognize our talented fans!
Cheers!

For Wiley's Dictionary-
"Innuendo: Where you place a pie to cool."
Brad and Ben
Newnan, Georgia

I don't suppose that you have "dry" days when the gags don't come, but here's one for something like Wiley's Dictionary...
"General admission: I did it!"
Tom
Greeley, Colorado

I thought about the "He who" (or he hoo?) strips while driving my car tonight.
The best I could come up with was:
"He who lives in a glass house shouldn't have bird feeders."
Steve
Olympia, Washington

B.C. has been one of my favorite comics for as long as I can remember. Here are a couple of Wiley's definitions you might want to run in your strip.
"Farfetched: A well thrown ball retrieved by your dog."
"Faux Pas: A par four hole on a Southern golf course."
Thanks,
Bill
Venice, Florida

If I thought of this dictionary entry for BC, I'm sure you have, too.
"Dis-concert: What most local music critics do at a performance."
Ray
Columbia, South Carolina

Hey Ray, we never thought of it. You have an original! Patti

I enjoy both B.C. and the Wizard of Id. If you haven't already done it, what about this for Wiley's Dictionary?
"Purpose: A happy cat."
Ann
Lenexa, Kansas

We haven't, Ann. Yours is original, too! Patti

I think Mason is doing a GREAT job! His touch really mirrors his awesome grandfather's genius.
I've got a joke for you, if you want to use it, be my guest. One night, frustrated with my basic dial up 56K modem which must make it the slowest computer around, I came up with this idea.
Curls is standing next to the cute chick, both watching BC sitting on a rock chiseling away something on a slab. He then passes it through a stone that resembles a montior screen to the turtles back. All three watch as the turtle walks up over the hill taking all night and returning the next day with a new message.
Curls says, "We're witnessing a first."
"What is that?" the cute chick asks.
"A BC PC"..... Curls replies.
Su
Freehold, New Jersey

When I wrote to Su asking permission to post her idea on the site, her reply was filled with kind words... Patti

I always LOVED your Dad's awesome comic strip, not only because it's so funny but because I always appreciated this rare "minimalist" style of art so few artists ever achieve.
Your Dad's comic designs transcend all other characters in the comics in my opinion. He rendered the "classic" Neanderthal so perfectly yet made them so appealing at the same time. No other cave man character can be rendered as accurately!
Mason Mastroianni, I'm so glad you're continuing your Grandad's BC comic strip keeping the whole gang "alive" giving millions much needed laughter on a daily basis.
Please keep it up, your work is great!
Su

If you want your ideas to be considered for posting, please be sure to check the permission box on our contact page. Thank you! Patti
