Cartoonists help raise money for Parkinson's research.

Cartoonists amaze me! These guys and gals are always willing to push deadlines aside and donate their time and talent to special projects. I've observed Mason do this countless times, cool as a cucumber, while behind the scenes I'm sweating the deadline like a crazy person! One of these days I'll get past these neuroses ... then again, maybe not ... but I digress.
When one of their own, Richard Thompson, was diagnosed with Parkinson's, web designer Chris Sparks, had an idea. Publish a high-quality book of cartoon art about Parkinson's awareness in Richard's honor with profits from the sales going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation. And the original art could be auctioned to raise even more for research! Chris set out to find a publisher and when Andrews McMeel came on board, he created Team Cul de Sac, a Team Fox fundraising page and put out the call for art from the cartoonist community. The outpouring was awe-inspiring! Beyond his wildest dreams!
Read the Team Cul de Sac blog. Read Richard's blog. "Like" the Team Cul de Sac facebook page.
But most importantly, click "Contribute" and make a donation here to help find a cure!

Here's Mason's contribution to the book. A beautiful pencil rendering of Alice carved in stone by Thor. The depth and detail are amazing! I wish you could see it in person. I wish you could have seen what this kid could do with a ball point pen in high school ... I'll have to scan and post ... digressing again ...
