September 2008 Archives

Johnny Hart created the comic strip, B.C., in 1958 and it quickly became one of the best loved comics of all time.

In 1964, Johnny created a second strip, the Wizard of Id featuring the cartooning genius of Brant Parker! The Wizard became wildly popular as well making Johnny one of only three cartoonists to have two strips appearing in over 1000 papers each. The other two legends are Mort Walker (Beetle Bailey and Hi & Lois) and Dik Browne (Hi & Lois and Hagar). Jerry Scott has since joined the stage with Baby Blues and Zits.

When Johnny and Brant passed away in 2007, Bobby Hart briefly considered retiring the strips. She then realized how much talent had been passed on to the offspring of both Johnny and Brant and had a change of heart. She decided to put together two teams to keep the legacy alive!

Welcome to our web site! We have officially joined the new millennium with this endeavor. We hope both Johnny and Brant would be proud!
